		<description>The plant in the photo isn't a lotus stem.  The lotus stem has larger holes in the stalk.  You can google image the lotus stem to see what it looks like.  The plant in the photo is the Alocasia Odora.  It has large leaves but I've only eaten the stalks.  I've only had the stalk in the Vietnamese sour soup my mom makes.</description>

We were eating in this old school Chinese restaurant and the grand mother of the family that owned it found out that I was a chef and went outside to the Coy pond, pulled out fresh lotus and served us Poke on fresh Lotus Stem, it was excellent. Please let me know if the photo is Lotus Stem</description>
